Please Read Before Purchasing our Products Online
SHIPPING COST: KRES KITCHEN LLC offers flat rate shipping using FedEx Home Delivery which is optimized for residential addresses. Delivery fees are added at the time of checkout. Our shipping rate is subject to change due to updated carrier pricing.
LOGISTICS: We ship to any physical street address within the state of Ohio. We are not currently shipping fermented products outside Ohio or to any P.O. Box; a physical street address within the State of Ohio is required. The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. We are not liable for spoilage due to delivery delays caused by incorrect address information.
ONLINE ORDER PROCESSING: Online orders can be placed anytime. KRES KITCHEN fermented products ship on Wednesdays. Orders placed after 10 am (EST) on Wednesdays may be shipped the following week. On the day your order ships, you will receive an email notification with a tracking number that can be referenced on the carrier's website.
SHIPPING METHODS AND TIME: As a small independent company, KRES KITCHEN manages shipping carefully to prioritize speed, quality and transparency. KRES KITCHEN fermented products are preserved using traditional fermentation techniques. Although perishable, our fermented products do not require temperature control for safety by current FDA Food Code. As such, we do not pack with ice gel packs as a standard procedure. Our products ship on Wednesdays with expected delivery in 1-2 days avoiding weekend/holiday delays. We may temporarily suspend shipping during periods of extreme weather - including, very high and very low temperatures forecasted during the shipping window.
PACKAGING: Your fermented product will arrive in a custom shipping box designed to prevent damage in transit. All products will have tamper-evident seals to ensure food integrity. Since our jars are not hermetically sealed, you may find trace leakage from the lids because of typical handling during transport - this is not considered a defect and the product will not be negatively affected. In keeping with our sustainability goals, all packaging can be fully recycled.
IMMEDIATE RECEIPT AND INSPECTION: Upon delivery by the commercial carrier, the customer is responsible for immediate retrieval and inspection of the package. Perishable items must be unpacked immediately and transferred to a refrigerator after inspection. Damage or spoilage resulting from a package sitting unattended outdoors after delivery is the sole responsibility of the customer. We strongly recommend tracking your shipment via FedEx Tracking and ensuring someone is available to receive it on the scheduled delivery day.
TERMS OF ONLINE PURCHASING: KRES KITCHEN LLC offers online purchases of lactofermented products that are not pasteurized, do not contain added preservatives and are best when immediately refrigerated upon receipt to the final destination. All online sales are final. We do not offer returns, exchanges, or refunds except as outlined below under “CLAIMS AND DOCUMENTATION”. Please ensure your online order is correct before completing your purchase.
KRES KITCHEN LLC is not responsible for damaged or spoiled products caused by unpacking delays after delivery to the final destination. Signs that a fermented product has spoiled: a fuzzy mold growth (pink, black, green colors), a foul/putrid odor, or a slimy texture. A cloudy brine is normal but surface scum, or intense, unappealing odors indicate spoilage. If it smells rotten or slimy, it is safer to discard the product.

CLAIMS AND DOCUMENTATION: To be eligible for a refund or replacement for damaged goods, customers must:

Provide clear photographic evidence of the product issue, its original packaging, and the shipping label.
Retain all original packaging materials until the claim is processed
ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS: Through the use of this website, you are hereby accepting the terms and conditions stipulated within this Shipping Policy and within our Terms of Agreement. Anyone who is not in agreement with our Shipping Policy or Terms of Agreement should refrain from further use of our online site kreskitchen.com. In addition, continued use of our website following the posting of any updates or changes to our terms and conditions shall mean that you agree and accept such changes.
